Occupational safety and health assessments were conducted at the Life Chemicals Group – New Tank Terminal in order to:
- Ensure that company guidelines are being followed, along with the compliance with these standards for employees working on-site and off-site.
- Provide a work environment free of hazards that may lead to injuries or fatalities among workers and reduce the negative impacts of risks that cannot be eliminated, to the maximum extent possible.
- Provide resources and equipment - Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) – for workers, each according to the type of activity he performs, as well as providing it to visitors.
Responsibilities
Continuous inspection of various activities of the project, to ensure a risk-free environment.
Identify hazards that may exist, and asses related risks.
Develop mitigation plans to reduce risks negative effects.
Ensure that contractors and subcontractors comply with the occupational safety and health program guidelines and procedures and use appropriate PPEs according to the type of activity.
Promote safe practices on site.
Deliverables
Employers must provide a safe working environment for their employees. To do so, they need to be aware of all hazards and risk present in the workplace in order to minimize them by implementing proper policies, along with training on best practices. Therefore, ECOTOPIA EEC delivered the following:
